Management Board Change

Within the Hatecke group the management board has been extended.

Peter Hatecke, who has run the family business (founded in 1903) since 1986 in the 4th generation, has now appointed his three sons, Hinnerk, Hannes and Markus and his nephew Krischan Oltmann into the management board.

At Hatecke Service GmbH, performing the worldwide maintenance of life-saving appli­ances with 60 employees, for about 3,000 ships a year, Krischan Oltmann (34) took over the management board on April 1st, 2016. Krischan Oltmann was already responsible as commercial director since March 1st, 2013 and previously worked at Ernst & Young in Hamburg as a tax consultant and auditor for six years.

At Hatecke GmbH, leading manufacturer of Tender- and lifeboats for the cruise industry with 200 employees at Drochtersen-Krautsand (50 km west of Hamburg), the three sons of owner Peter Hatecke were appointed to the Executive Board on July 1st, 2016. Hinnerk Hatecke (30) worked for several years at Hunte Engineering in Oldenburg after his shipbuilding studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen and is responsible for the design of the rescue and Tender Boats in cruise section since August 2011, is now taking over the design department and boat development.

Markus Hatecke (27) completed studies of marine engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Flensburg. He continued his education to become an international welding engineer. Since early 2013 he has been working at the company and is nowadays responsible for the production.

Hannes Hatecke (29) degreed engineer of naval architecture and MBA spent 3 years as a research associate in Hamburg University at the Institute of Ship Design and Ship Safety of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Krüger, before gaining his doctorate in 2016 has taken over the responsibility for administration and sales.

With the expansion of the management, an organizational change and rejuvenation of the management board, the Hatecke group adjusts not only to the changed conditions and challenges of the market, but is also preparing to switch over to the 5th generation.
