2009-12-03: GL Comment on SOLAS III, Reg. 20.11
(Hamburg) Germanischer Lloyd published a revised “GL Procedure for yearly test and 5-yearly test for Launching Appliances and Release Gear”. The definitions of “Service Personnel” and “Properly Trained Personnel” have been changed fundamentally.

(Krautsand) Hatecke and Hatecke Service have recently been audited by Germanischer Lloyd. We achieved upgrade to ISO 9001:2008 certification.

2009-9-14: Rescue of Survivors of Sunken Superferry 9
(Zamboanga) On September 9 the Philippine ferry sank in the southern Philippines with nearly 1000 passengers on board. 9 people were killed and dozens were left missing. The civilian ship MV Myriad helped in the search and rescue with their Hatecke rescue boat. According to the owner, the well maintained boat “implemented a fabulous rescuer”.

2009-02-16: New Production Hall:
(Krautsand) Beginning of February, we moved into new productions facilities at our premises. The workshop which is 4250 m² in size has especially been constructed for the production of semi enclosed lifeboats for cruise vessels and fast rescue boats for naval ships. The new production hall gives us more efficiency and flexibility in production.

2009-01-27: New Websites Launched
(Krautsand) Hatecke and Hatecke Service announce the release of their new websites. Our new websites include several new features incl. search function, newsletter system etc. and will provide you (easier) access to product information and company insights. We hope that our new sites are more informative and convenient for you and give you a better impression about our business. 2009-01-21: Rescue at Sea with Hatecke Boat
(The Caribbean)The German Research Vessel “Maria S. Merian" “rescued an Italian couple from distress at sea on January 19, 2009. The vessel received a message from the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre Fort de France on the Caribbean Island of Martinique.

The Italians were picked up with a Hatecke fast rescue boat. They had been forced to abandon their dismasted sailing yacht.

Hooks are part of the annual and 5-years inspections (see SOLAS changes enforced July 1, 2008). Before ordering a service please take into account that Hatecke hooks need to be replaced 5 years after production.
